Hi people,

Having fun lately? I doubt so with all the end-of-year examinations coming up. Anyway, for our class outing, please give me at least an idea of how many people are going, so that if I need to find out the cost of the chalet (not sure if we can book it though), I can find out how much each of us may have to pay for it (nope, I am not going to pay for the whole thing).

As for the food, if we can even get ourselves a chalet, can we have barbeque or something? I don't know what you guys would want, but I thought that if we can get a chalet, why not make full use of it? Anyways, even if we cannot get a chalet, I was wondering if we can use the barbeque pit at my house (opposite Downtown East), if we book early. So, what do you guys think?

Anyways, I won't be using my hotmail much lately due to some complications to my computer's limited RAM space... So, if anyone needs to contact me, send me an email or something. I'll be sure to reply, sooner or later...

Throughout the past month, I've been trying to search for promotions at the theme parks and stuff like that. I've found something quite relevant to my search and have decided to post it up here. Just click here and here, there goes the link...

Hey guys, what's up?

Having a good holiday? I hope so... I know it is a little too early to plan all these, but, would you guys like to go for a chalet or to the theme park for our class outing in December? Give some suggestions as to where to go, what to do and also, as stated in the previous entry, some days which you guys may be able to go for the outing. I know it will be a little hard to write down whichever dates, however, just email to me the possible time slots. If it is confirmed, you can write it down in the schedule planner and then email me back to tell me that you guys will be okay with the confirmed dates and so on. If any of you don't know my email, you can always go to facebook and find me, or ask your friends about it. My facebook public name is: Samantha Gan. I know it sounds weird, but just live with it. My facebook picture will be one that I have made with Photoshop. The one with iCarly cast (actually, only two of them). Hi guys,

Actually, being in a top school isn't that interesting. Besides having lots of homework, stress comes in and all of the peer pressure gets to you even more. *sighs* But, I am still considered quite lucky to have many friends to help me with my homework (I didn't mean DO my homework), or I will be toast already. I've been to the counselor's (first time, you know?), teachers and my friends to ask for help. And phew, so much to be done, especially when I'm so easily sick...

Anyways, if you guys or gals need any help, you can always approach me (except for homework, you know I suck at it). Well, everyone needs a friend, right? So, feel free to ask me for help, even though I may not provide you with the best answers (oops...).

Recently, I've been missing those primary school days when we have fun and all that. We used to tease each other, chit-chat, have fun together. But now, times have changed and they have changed for the worst. I don't see Couragers that much now (not as much as I used to anyway), also, the times we have had with each other can never be replaced. However, some things (or many things) have changed. If you all have noticed, we haven't really had a class outing this year or something. Well, we had one last year, but it's different. Last year is last year and this year is, well, this year. Actually, I really want to plan something for the class, really. A class outing would be great, but the problem is that it's hard to get you guys to come together for something fun. Maybe I'll try to get something through my head, a plan, actually, for all of us Couragers to have fun this year... hmm...

So, I have created a poll for you guys so that you can provide me with the information that I will need to plan this whole thing. I've not asked Mr. Lee or any of you, so here's my chance. Thanks Natalie, for posting the previous entry.

Yes, EPPS will be having an Astro Nite on the 29th of May. This is in conjunction with the International Year of Astronomy, a collaboration with the Singapore Science Centre.

We are trying to get as many people as possible to join in the activities. Our parent volunteer, Mr Lee (Angel's Father), will bring 3 of his telescopes to our school. There will be a session of parent-child Astro quiz competition, Astro Cheer Competition and exhibits on Astronomy.

More importantly, every person entering the school will be counted and we are helping Singapore to hit a target of 100, 000 people viewing telescopes for this year.

So, come down with your parents and families for this special activity! Please spread the news around too!

End of the world 2012

A few prediction and prophecies on wad will happen in 2012 ( i only chose reasonable ones )

There are stories surfacing about SCIENTIFIC EXPERIMENTS along the lines of splitting the atom - is the earth going to get blown up by a mad scientist? Apparently there is an experiment on a very large scale planned for the year 2012. In a long very tunnel, particle physicists plan to collide electrons and positrons (the opposite of electrons). The tunnel may be up to 50km long and they will use energies of up to a trillion electron volts. This will hurl these particles at close to the speed of light. No one knows what will happen if antimatter is created. Could it destroy a delicate balance in the universe? Will 2012 end of the world predictions find their fulfillment through scientific a experiment?

One prediction is of a GIANT METEOR OR ASTEROID. The earth has been struck by meteors before. Could one giant meteor bring and end to the world? Some predict we are overdue for a strike and give 2012 as a possible date for a giant meteor strike on earth.

Others believe that a PLANET X: NIBIRU, two thirds earth's size, will pass through our solar system around 2012 causing polar axis shifts on earth. True or not, this has been linked to some of the vague prophecies of NOSTRADAMUS.

Will SOLAR FLARES snuff out the earth in 2012 - solar flares seem to come in cycles and NASA have said that the sun is due for a big one around 2012. We all know that our life on earth is deeply affected by the activity of the sun.

A very real possibility is DISEASE - we have seen how quickly it can spread and devastate human life on earth. And there has been talk of the threat of pandemics for several years now. But is it reasonable to say that the world will end this way in 2012 with an earth wide pandemic?

An ancient CALANDER BY THE MAYANS runs out on December 21, 2012 and it has been suggested that they knew something we don't. This is the basis of what has been called the Mayan 2012 Prophecy. However because an ancient calendar ends on December 21, 2012 does not mean that the world will end then too, especially as the Mayan's didn't actually say this. The Mayan's had some interesting beliefs and insights about life and the cosmos Some of them reflect scientific observations today. However, the Mayans also believed that our sun is a god powered by blood from human sacrifices. So be careful what you believe.

Hi Couragers,

As mentioned today, shall we meet on Tuesday, 23rd Dec, at 10.30am Harbour Front MRT Passenger Control?

We will most probably go for the Sentosa Choice Package (http://www.sentosa.com.sg/events_promotions/promotions/index.asp) which cost S$26.90 for children.

I suggest we go for the 3 Experience attractions:
Tiger Sky Tower, The Merlion, Butterfly Park & Insect Kingdom

and the 2 Adventure attractions:
Sentosa 4D Magix and the Luge & Skyride

By the way, the price includes admission to the island and the 5 attractions.

You may ask your friends along if you want. I'll be away this weekend. I am contactable on Monday. Oh, please indicate if you are going on our class poll so that I can have a rough figure on the expected turnout.

Hi fellow 6 Couragers 2008,

Hope that all of you are having your deserved vacations. Just thought of sharing some photos and good news with all of you.

As some of you might know, our class did exceptionally well overall. I am really proud of all of you. EPPS has 8 pupils getting straight 'A*'s and 6 of them are from our class! For your information, our 2007 top scorer 'only' managed 3 'A*'s. Our school's Science performance has also improved with more than 56% of the cohort getting 'A's or 'A*'s! Last but not the least, 4 of you have finally broken the '270 jinx'! Well done!

Our class aggregate is 251! That's even better than the score I had when I took PSLE! It also means that I am below average if I took the exams with all of you! So many of you have outdone me!

Nevertheless, for those of you who didn't meet your own expectations, don't lose heart. This is only the first stepping stone in your life. Continue to strive hard and unleash your potential within!

“Dad! No…! Daddy, daddy!” I was struggling out of the policemen’s grasp. I saw my father, with two policemen beside him, walking towards the police car. He did not glance back, not even stop. He was arrested for stealing and attempting to assault a police and it was ALL for me. I could not hold back my tears. It was my stubborn and foolish behaviours. It all started last week, I envied my friends for having such beautiful bags, hand bags and lots of money.

I was without a mother since young. I used to believe that she was dead but the truth was that she ran away with another man. My father used to be a wealthy man. I enjoyed myself when I was young with all that money that could be spent. I had been to Paris, at six. But ever since then, going to Malaysia was never ever going to happen. One day, my father lost his job. That was why my mother ran away. I was still young and I did not know that I had to be sensible. Being used to the posh life I used to live, I thought I still had it all. And then I graduated from primary school and went to a secondary school. My schoolmates had pretty bags and neat uniforms. Mine were donated by a kind hearted young man.

One day, my schoolmates invited me to a party. If I was the host, I would not even invite a smelly, messy and disgusting filthy girl like myself. Then, I had to get new clothes, a handbag, accessories and more. I took a bus back home. My father was at home, doing the usual things like finding a job, cooking and sleeping. “You’re back,” my father remarked. I merely nodded. “Is there something wrong?” Sensing that something was not right, he questioned me. “No… Yes, actually I… You,” I was not sure whether I should ask my father for money. I looked around the house, everything was old and tattered. Yet, I wanted new clothes and bags. Hoping for a positive response, I continued, “Dad,” I avoided having eye contact with my father. “Dad, I was wondering if you have the money to get me new clothes and bags.” I started to tilt my head up expecting a smile on my father’s face. Nevertheless, he was boiling with fury and finally, he flew into a rage. “Take a look at this house, take a closer look. We have the worst unit in this floor, probably even the whole estate. Can’t you be a little considerate? I do not even have a job! You want anything, everything in the world? You think you’re so great, YOU GO GET A JOB AND SEE IF YOU CAN COPE!” Tears streamed down his face. I felt anger in me.

Before he could breathe another word, I ran into my room and slammed the door. After seconds which felt like seasons, my father knocked lightly on the door. “Lay Ling, listen, I am sorry. You know my temper, Lay Ling. I can try to get money for…” Due to my anger, I chose to defy,” I don’t need your filthy money. I can earn it, MYSELF! In fact, I don’t think I need you at all!”

Little did I know that my father actually went to steal for me. We stayed at block 504 level three, he actually went to the fourteenth floor while I was at school to do something that I would never expect…

When I was walking back from school, I heard loud screams. Horrified ones that made my heart drop. Since the lift was not working, I took the stairs. At first, I wanted to return home immediately. But after a second thought, I thought maybe it was no harm checking out the commotion. When I was at the stairs of the thirteenth floor, shock overcame me when I saw my father holding a chopper. Residents stood back and two policemen were pointing their guns at my father. “Don’t you dare come near, move away or I’ll chop!” A familiar voice echoed the corridor. But the police refused to let my father get away. My father had no choice but to slash the chopper down. It left a deep cut in one of the policemen’s hand. As he ran towards the lift, he noticed me standing at the stairway.

At this point of time, my father just stood there, dropping the chopper, ready to give everything up. Tears started to well up in his eyes as he turned back to be arrested...

This picture shows a scene in a food court near a swimming pool. I believe this is a weekend as there are quite a number of people around. There is a woman who is sitting cross-legged and reading a newspaper. The reason why she is reading is maybe she is bored and had nothing to do. There is a pair of shoes and two swimming boards under the table. I presume the woman who is reading owns those things. She should not let her shoes and the swimming boards lying around because by doing so, she being inconsiderate. She should arrange her shoes and the swimming boards neatly under or on top of the table. There is a lady who is sitting at a table with food and drinks on the table. In my opinion, those things on the chairs are hers. I suggest she should throw the empty cups and plates after finishing eating and drinking so that cockroaches and flies would not get attracted. This place looks rather dirty. And it should be cleaned up. This may probably due to the inconsiderate behaviour the people there had shown. The people there should throw all the empty cups or plates into the dustbin and not leave them on the table as cockroaches and files might come. Maybe the authority could entrust a cleaner to help clean the place. However, the people there should not take advantage of it. They shoud also help clean up the place. Having signs like "Do not litter" is a temporary measure. These sign may deter people from displaying the undesirable actions but they are not long term solutions. If I were there, I would try to help clean up the place or remind the people not to litter.

Okay.. So long since someone posted on the blog so I'm the first one since Mr Lee's birthday . My exam marks was RUBBISH . But it was acceptable . Blehhx . I hate the english paper . So hard :X . I wish I could redo all my exams . But it seems IMPOSSIBLE . WAT THE HECK !!!!!

I was disappointed by my friends who had betrayed me. They hurt me deeply. I was very upset as they were my good friends. I cannot believe they would do that. I thought they would never betray me. But I guess I was wrong, the unexpected became reality... It all started when I met some of her immoral friends. They smoke and drank, expecting me to follow along. However, I refused, and they started being mean to me and calling me names. I tried but failed, to back out of it. I was returning home from a long day in school. When suddenly, they came out from nowhere, they pushed me to a dark and scary place. I retaliated but to no avail as they were so much bigger than me in size. They were also much stronger than me. They forced me to smoke. I was really disappointed as they really changed a lot. I had no choice but to obey. I mixed with them to have fun, not to let them force me to do things. I also mixed with them as they had a sense of security. They were nice to me at first; they protected me when someone tried to bully me. I was very grateful to them and that was how we became friends. However, they are the ones who bullied me now. Disappointment filled my heart now. I was disappointed as I thought that I had got good friends. The feeling of being betrayed was so bitter. It would take a long time for me to get over this. I wondered why it had to happen to me. It all started when I accepted their offer of earning extra pocket money. Every day, I followed them to a dilapidated house. They told me that they we would traffic drugs, in order to earn more money. I knew that it was wrong, but I could not take the temptation of the cold hard cash. I reluctantly accepted the cash. They wanted me to go to the airport and ship some ecstasy. When I got caught, they said I did it of my own accord and they had nothing to do with it. I finally knew what they meant when I stood rooted to the ground thinking of what would happen to me. Soon, my imagination began to run wild... Now I realize the consequences of mixing with bad friends. Friends always influenced me but I did not know it would be this bad...Actually I was a good student and was getting good grades, but I was twisted by these friends. But I guess it all came down to me; I was the one who chose to get influenced, I was the one was stupid enough to traffic drugs. Now, I am behind the rusty iron bars, awaiting the day of my execution. That made me realise that not all friends can be trusted, we have to choose a friend wisely. Just because I made wrong friends, my life was ruined. I know the crime I committed was unpardonable and I would not mind if my family do not forgive me.
